Meet Makaela Rinehimer, Au.D., CCC-A

Makaela received her B.S. in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology as well as her Doctorate degree in Audiology from the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Growing up, she had family members who had hearing loss, and she watched them struggle with difficulty communicating. She grew up going to their audiology appointments with them. It became an interest to her to assist others in their hearing abilities and communicating with their loved ones. She loves being able to help people in her community with all their hearing needs.

Audiology isn’t limited to one age group, and she loves the diversity of seeing children at one point of the day, then seeing adults at another. She loves being able to see newborns to 100+!

Makaela looks at all of her patients as if they were her family. She asks her self how she would want her family members treated and cared for, and that is exactly how she treats her patients.

When not at Family Hearing Center, you can find Dr. Rinehimer with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
